The fifth season of Karan Johar‘s popular chat show Koffee With Karan kickstarted on a great note with Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan. While in one episode Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna bowled us with their crazy humour and tongue-in-cheek remarks, in another Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor gave us gossip stories to indulge on for the rest of the year. In the course of just five episodes, the chat show doled out some crazy stuff. Although we all are convinced that this is the best season that KWK has seen, host KJo feels otherwise. He feels that unlike other seasons, the celeb guests have been much more guarded and conscious about their opinions this year.
Karan, who is all set to judge musical show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ with Shalmali Kholgade, Shekhar Ravjiani rapper Badshah, said at the launch, “Celebrities are speaking much lesser this season because they are so aware that there is some ‘.com’ sitting on their heads, which is literally uploading and hanging on to every word they say.All the celebrities are coming guarded this time because everything they say becomes a headline, which may be great for the show but not always great for them,” the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director told ANI.
Karan insisted that the show is meant for a casual watch and that everything said in the show should not be taken seriously.”Not every word should be whacked or over-analysed. At times people interpret things seriously or in different way but it shouldn’t be seen that way. I don’t think anyone sitting on the couch means to offend anyone.”
Further, when asked about his experience of shooting the 100th episode with Salman Khan and his brothers, who are going to appear on the show this weekend, Karan said, “I was most excited as he (Salman) came for the 100th episode. It was ‘Koffee’ century. He came with his brothers. It was an amazing episode and you should watch it.”
When Ranbir Kapoor said Casual sex is very similar to masturbation!
Coming straight to the explosive confession that Ranbir’s made on Koffee with Karan season 5 tonight, all you women need to take a note that the Kapoor lad hates getting into casual sex. Yes, when Karan asked Ranbir about the idea of having a casual sex, he immediately turned around saying, “I feel casual sex is very similar to masturbation, in fact worse than masturbation.” Ahem! Although a few might agree to him but wait whaaa? Is that really Ranbir?? Well, that was exactly how Ranveer and Karan reacted on hearing this coming from Ranbir.

Ranbir Kapoor on his relationship with Ranveer Singh: We are not BEST FRIENDS!
When Karan Johar asked them if it’s too good to be true that two of the most sought after actors share such a good rapport. Ranbir was quick to answer saying he and Ranveer are not best friends and in fact they are on the show because Karan Johar invited them. Adding to that Ranbir said he loves Ranveer’s work and thinks he is a good actor. Ranveer too was quick in his response and said that they are not competing; he further added that he is not competitive and is just happy for the fact that he is getting good work.

It so happened that Karan Johar asked Ranveer Singh that which actress would he like to set up Ranbir Kapoor with. And without even taking a second, Ranveer uttered Kangana Ranaut’s name. Now the highlight of the show was not this that he took her name, instead it was Ranbir’s impassive reaction. Neither did he smile, nor did he get offended. He just sat back with his straight face!

When Ranbir Kapoor admitted feeling lonely, after breaking up with Katrina Kaif
Ranbir was candid in confessing that he is single and it’s not good. He said being single is boring, lonely and how one constantly wants some form of flattery. One craves for love. And he believes in give and take relationship as far as love is concerned. Later in the discussion, Ranbir also said that he doesn’t miss physical attraction as far as relationship is concerned but he surely misses’ companionship. And strongly believes he’s going to fall deeply and madly in love, as and when it happens.

When Ranveer Singh REFUSED to confirm his relationship status with Deepika Padukone on Koffee with Karan 5
Every time Karan Karan Johar initiated a topic about Deepika Padukone, Ranveer – single or committed and the latter zipped his lips. He refused to confirm anything, despite Karan probing twice or thrice. But with that said, Ranveer did make confessions on how he thinks he’s the best boyfriend in the world and how his ideal goal is to go back to his woman at the end of the day. In fact, during the rapid fire round, Ranveer even tagged Deepika as the ultimate marriage material when Karan asked him to choose between Deepika, Katrina and Anushka under the kill-marry-hook up section

When Ranbir Kapoor said he wants Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone to make awesome babies together!
Ranbir Kapoor of course went first and spoke of how it was many years back that he was involved with Deepika. But he also made a rather candid comment about Ranveer and Deepika’s special relationship. The Jagga Jasoos actor said, “I’ve hung out with them. They have an amazing creative partnership on screen. And I think just beyond that just the way they are with each other, they really complement each other well. They are in ways perfect to each other’s energies and I’m really happy for them. And I hope they can see this through and really make some awesome babies together. And I hope that their babies like me and I’m their favourite actor.”
