Kidney patient fails to find free treatment quota at Bir Hospital

Rampur (Palpa), Jan 10: Ram Bahadur Sen, a native of Dabra in Rampur Municipality, is dealing with problems in seeking treatment of his kidney ailment due to financial constraint.

For two months Sen underwent regular check ups but now he is in desperate need of help. He had gone to Saudi Arabia in search of migrant work a year ago, but returned after suffering from high blood pressure.
During a check up at the Medicare National Hospital in Kathmandu he was diagnosed with two ailing kidneys. Sen is now faced with two dismal choices of either transplanting the kidneys or undergoing dialysis.

He has appealed for help as kidney transplant could cost him Rs 600,000 at the least. He has asked for any donor agencies, organizations or individuals to deposit their donated amount at the Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) account no 351000163910.

Although the government has declared the treatment of kidney ailment cost-free, Sen could not find a quota for free treatment at the state-run Bir Hospital.

Kanban and Beyond at Agiles 2011

This week I was at Agiles 2011, the 4th Latin American Conference on Agile Methodologies.

I had the pleasure to give a 2 hour version of the Kanban and beyond workshop. It was very well received by the participants. I did do some improvements since the last time I run the workshop at a conference (the Agile Brazil 2011 conference).

For the 2 hour workshop at the Agiles conference, I decided to shorten the activity time and give only a taste of the full workshop. The results were superb! The participants really enjoyed it. The fact is that the workshop is better suitable for a 4 hours or a full day activity.

Kareena Kapoor Saif Ali Khan at Polo Match Final Photos

Bollywoods lovely couple, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan spotted together at the Bhopal-Pataudi Polo 2011 cup final match at Jaipur Polo ground in New Delhi. Also the entire Khan family including Sharmila Tagore, sisters Soha and Saba Ali Khan, Saif and soon-to-be begum Kareena Kapoor made it a point to attend the tournaments finals. But the crowd certainly missed the presence of Tiger Pataudi. The star is fulfilling his fathers duties and spending the time with his family and girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor. This might have been the best dinner party Ive ever thrown ;). I cannot thank our vendors, sponsors, guests and friends enough. Katie & the West Elm crew were so helpful. The chefs from Vivace made them most incredible food, I still cant get over it, if you are in town you have to get a martini with their house-made cello and anything off their menu is worth it. Thank you James from Not Just Coffee for bringing your fans and pouring us something special all night. Jude Moses, was a great surprise, and as soon as their album hits Im going to wear it out. Goldmine always brings the good vibes and amazing food, and I have to say thanks to Kyle Young for helping with the wine selection, Im still enjoying your choices. And then to finish off the evening everyone went home with a hand-wrapped bouquet from Kelly of Philosophy Flowers along with a cute owl West Elm mug & Goldmine rosmary sea salt.

Kareena Kapoors Wax Statue Unveiled At Madame Tussauds Museum

Bollywood bebo Kareena Kapoor unveiled her own wax statue at the Madame Tussauds in Blackpool, UK. Kareena was seen in a beautiful golden colour saree designed by Manish Malhotra at the event. This wax statue is the replica of her famous song Mauja Hi Mauja from the movie Jab We Met. She arrived on the red carpet with her mother Babita Kapoor.
